The problem: The drum turned normally, but clothes were still cold and damp after a full cycle.
The fix: The thermal fuse had blown because of a lint-packed vent. We replaced the fuse, cleaned the lint from the dryer and vent connection, and checked the heat.
The problem: The dryer ran but never got warm. The igniter glowed, but the burner never lit.
The fix: The gas valve coils had weakened, so the valve wouldn't open. We replaced the coils, tested ignition and checked the connections for leaks.
The problem: A loud squeal started every time the drum turned.
The fix: The drum support rollers and idler pulley had worn down. We replaced both, along with the belt, and the dryer ran quietly again.
