Terms & conditions

These terms apply to every repair visit you book with us, by phone or through this website. By booking a visit, you agree to them.

Our services

We provide in-home diagnosis and repair of household appliances in Manhattan, New York. All work is done at the customer's address. We don't accept appliances for drop-off repair, and we don't sell parts separately.

Booking and arrival

When you book, we confirm an arrival window. We do our best to arrive within it, but traffic, building access and earlier jobs can cause delays. If we're running late, we'll let you know.

Someone 18 or older must be home for the visit. Please make sure the technician can safely reach the appliance and that any building access is arranged.

Diagnosis, estimates and approval

Each visit starts with a diagnosis, charged at [$XX]. After the diagnosis, the technician will explain the problem and give you a price for the repair. No repair work begins without your approval.

If additional problems are found during the repair, we'll explain them and get your approval before doing more work.

Payment

Payment is due when the work is completed. We accept [credit and debit cards, cash, Zelle]. [Confirm your payment methods.] You'll receive an itemized invoice for every visit.

Parts

Parts are supplied and installed by our technicians as part of a repair. We use [original manufacturer (OEM) or equivalent-quality] parts. Replaced parts can be left with you on request; otherwise we dispose of them.

Warranty

Repairs are covered by our 90-day parts and labor warranty, as described on our Warranty page.

Cancellations

Rescheduling, cancellations and missed visits are covered by our Cancellation Policy.

When we may decline work

Our technician may decline or stop a repair if the conditions are unsafe, for example a gas leak, exposed wiring, water damage, pests or an appliance that can't be safely reached. If that happens before any repair work, only the diagnostic fee applies.

Liability

We're licensed and insured, and we take care to protect your home during every visit. To the extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim related to a repair is limited to the amount you paid for that repair. We're not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear on the appliance unrelated to our work, or food spoilage or other losses caused by an appliance failure.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under New York consumer protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of New York County.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page on the date you book applies to your visit.
